While many things about Super Bowl 2021 will be different this year, the heightened anticipation as game day approaches, the excitement around pre-game events, and the thrill of post-game celebrations remain unchanged.

Tampa, Florida, hosts the Super Bowl for the fifth time, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7, at Raymond James Stadium. But before the players take the field, there’s plenty more action around town.

Here’s a look at what to expect as the clock ticks down to the hottest ticket in town!

Super Bowl 2021 Experience

Slather on some sunscreen and head for the Tampa Riverwalk from Friday, Jan. 29 – Sunday, Jan. 31, and from Wednesday, Feb. 3 – Saturday, Feb. 6, for the free SBX: Super Bowl Experience. Check out the virtual meet-and-greets with some of today’s top NFL players, as well as legends of the game. Tackle a 40-yard dash and a vertical jump against NFL players on LED screens, and don’t miss the opportunity for a photo with the Vince Lombardi trophy and the very bling display of all 54 Super Bowl rings. Shop for NFL team merchandise, visit a “locker room” and see your favorite player’s gear, all while enjoying a stroll along the scenic Riverwalk.

While admission to the Super Bowl 2021 Experience is free, fans must reserve their spot ahead of time due to restrictions during the pandemic. Download the NFL OnePass app in the App Store or on Google Play for reservations and access to other activities, or register for free to receive a QR code.

Super Bowl 2021 Game Day Highlights

While tickets are still available for Super Bowl 2021, the prices are, well, pretty pricey as seating will be limited to about 20 to 25 percent of the stadium’s full capacity. Face masks, social distancing and other safety protocols will be in effect, and the first several rows of seats closest to the field will be closed off to create distance between fans and players. Once seated, however, cheer your team on while enjoying the game and all of your favorite stadium snacks and beverages from the concessions, which this year are all cashless.

Around 8 p.m., when the lights go down, the excitement level will rev up as The Weeknd performs at halftime. The intermission entertainment is a highlight of every Super Bowl, and this year will be no exception when the three-time Grammy-winning artist takes to the stage.
