Land Rover just announced the new technologically-advanced and versatile 2020 Discovery Sport. The compact premium sport utility vehicle continues to embrace the adventurous spirit the brand is known for but with new design and style. Don’t worry the new Discovery Sport didn’t lose it’s trademark Discovery style it just saw improvements in design.
The 2020 Discovery Sport still has the same rising beltline, clamshell hood, and tapered roof. The new model now receives brand new LED lights, grille design, and front and rear bumpers. On the S, SE, and HSE models you’ll find Silver Atlas detailing on the badging scripts, tailgate finisher. And on the grille. While R-Dynamic models now feature Shadow Atlas exterior accents. The exterior of the Discovery Sport is further henced by the 12 different exterior paint colors you can choose from plus the available black contrast roof.
If you like the look of the contrasting black roof you’ll love the new available Black Exterior Pack. The pack is optional for both R-Dynamic and core models and features additional Narvik Black detailing on the fender vents and grille along with lettering on the hood and tailgate. Exterior styling options are further increased with the introduction of 21-inch wheels for the Discovery Sport. Wheel sizes now range from 18 to 21-inches and according to Land Rover of North Dade, include 10 different wheel designs!
The inside of the new Discovery Sport continues to offer occupants a spacious and comfortable 5+2 interior but with more high-tech features than ever before. Along with a new infotainment interface and all the latest connectivity you’ll also get up to 24 combinations of seating arrangement. Not only can you arrange the seats in more positions the seats themselves were improved for increased comfort. The front seats in the new Discovery Sport now offer massage functionality to help you relax on the drive home after a long day. The massage functionality can now be perfectly paired with an incredibly soft and durable non-leather material known as Luxtex. If you choose to have your interior upholstered in Luxtex you have the option of a more tactile Suedecloth steering wheel that is also extremely soft.
The front seats in the new Discovery Sport now offer massage functionality to help you relax on the drive home after a long day.
The interior of the Discovery Sport is further enhanced with a brand new center console which features many of the new high-tech features we’ve been hinting at. The new center console features a now-standard 10-inch Touch Pro infotainment system and an easy-to-read instrument cluster panel. You’ll also find a new three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with new switches.
The high-tech features of the new Discovery Sport continue with the introduction of ClearSight Ground View. This system helps you conquer rough terrain and navigate pesky city curbs. How you ask? By displaying a 180-degree view from beneath the vehicle onto your central touchscreen. The Discovery Sport now comes with wireless charging for compatible mobile devices, USB and 12-volt connectivity points on every row, and a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot. The driver assistance systems of the Discovery Sport also saw advancements in technology. The new model now comes with Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Condition Monitoring, and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
