I don’t know why more buildings aren’t curvy. I mean, name me one curvy building that doesn’t look cool. Take the Cocoon building in Zurich – this thing is amazingly beautiful.

Built in the shape of a spiral and set amidst a green oasis, the building exudes quiet elegance. This inspired update of New York’s famed Guggenheim Museum was designed by the Swiss architectural firm Camenzind Evolution. Here’s what they say about the interior:
The space planning concept dispenses with the traditional division into horizontal storeys in favour of a seemingly endless sequence of elliptical floor segments. By eliminating the usual barriers to communication, this generates a unique spatial experience and working environment…

The Cocoon building uses stainless steel mesh to create its distinct elliptical shape. Of course, the building is also totally green, using a air-source heat pump system for green heating and cooling.
