Want to own the actual car that beat the Bugatti Veyron to become the world’s fastest production car? Hop on over to eBay and plunk down a million dollar bid and you might just win it.
Driver Chuck Bigelow drove this Shelby Supercar Ultimate Aero at an average of 256.18 mph on Sept. 13, 2007, eclipsing the Veyron by 3.63 mph to become just the 26th car in history to hold the Guinness world production speed record. Members of this exclusive club include the 1932 Duesenberg SJ, 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, 1986 Porsche 959, 1990 Lamborghini Diablo, 1994 McLaren F1, and 2005 Bugatti Veyron.

In addition to the record-holding super car, the highest bidder will also receive:
- SSC World Record Commemorative Watch
- Custom Record Breaking Key Fob
- Original wheels and tires which were removed after breaking the record to preserve their collector value
- Framed Official Guinness World Records Certificate with commemorative photo signed by Shelby SuperCars team
As of today the bidding stands at $600,000, but given the history of this car the reserve price is most likely in the seven figures. More info and photos are available at World Record Car Auction.
Got a pile of cash lying around? Place your bid on eBay by March 23. Remember, in addition to the car you get a key fob – nice!

Damn, that’s batman’s car right there. Fit this baby with a pair of wings and it might as well take off on the test drive track

This looks like a racing car with the ads on it. Any good racing car can beat this.
Also, the Bughatti Veyron has a faster 0-100-0 time, under 9 seconds, and 2.3 seconds to 60 mph. The Bughatti Veyron is still the better car, especially with ultimate complete luxury.
