Honda Brings Ferris Bueller Back Into Our Lives
It may not be a Ferris Bueller sequel (Do we really want one of those anyway?), but it's nice to get the 1980's icon back in our lives. Historically, companies have saved the best and most bombastic commercials for the Super Bowl, and it appears that Honda is no exception with its Leap List campaign.
The Leap List is a checklist encouraging people to get done the things they want to do. Like a bucket list, but "leap list" hasn't been made into a crappy movie. Yet.
In the ad, Matthew Broderick fakes being sick so that he can cruise out with his CRV and just, just, LIVE, man. He goes to the museum, rides rollercoasters, and once again makes it out to a ball game. That Broderick knows how to live, man. The 2:20 ad is directed by Todd Phillips who directed and co-wrote The Hangover, so the man knows a little something about funny.
Does the CRV help him? Eh. It can't hurt!
