Air New Zealand Is Making Safety Fun Again With 'Modern Family's Ed O'Neill
After decades of flying, one of my least favorite things about all the hassles you undego before taking off is the pre-flight safety video. It should be easy to ignore, but like some sort of boring, boring tractor beam. Well, the same way commercials have recently found ways to entertain people AND do their job, airline safety videos are going the same way.
And it doesn't hurt that they've got a little starpower behidn them in the form of Ed O'Neill, aka "Al Bundy" and Melanie Lynskey, who are able to explain WHY you can't have your bag sitting in the aisle. You know, in case you're the type of person that can't figure that out on your own. Air New Zealand has used Lindsay Lohan and David Hasselhoff as well, so they're keeping their casting director pretty darn busy.
And, even though you're not on a plane right now (probably), you might want to give this video a spin, because where else will you find Snoop Dogg giving you a public service announcement not to smoke on planes?
No one can say Air New Zealand doesn't have a sense of humor!
