Some gadgets just scream manliness and the Leatherman Freestyle is one of those. What is it? Well, it’s a pocket knife. And it’s a set of pliers. And it’s all rolled into one very cool, rugged package.
The hybrid knife/multi-tool Freestyle looks like an angry grasshopper when it’s first opened. But then folds up to be just larger than a pack of gum, weighing just 4.5 ounces.
The Freestyle, which will be released later this Spring, will have two models: one with a straight blade and one with a straight/serrated combo blade. The body is made out of stainless steel with a carbon-fiber handle to reduce weight.
The best part of the Freestyle is the price point: just $48 or $72, depending on the model. It’s a bit early for Christmas gifts, but you may want to put this one of your list now.
While you can’t buy the Freestyle model yet, you can check out Leatherman’s other products and find a local retailer at their website.
