The red carpet is rolled out, envelopes sealed and trophies polished but let’s face it, the Golden Globes are all about the celebrity eye candy. This Sunday, January 11, fans everywhere will gather to get a glimpse of Tinsel Town’s tastiest, but who’s the most sought after star?
In an online poll conducted on SpeedDate.com, participants were asked which 2009 Golden Globe Best Performance by an Actress/Actor nominee they would most like to go out on a date with. The competition was close with Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio running neck and neck for the guys, while Anne Hathaway and Kate Winslet reached towards Angelina Jolie’s sex appeal status for the women.
Here’s how it played out on the women’s side:
35.98% Angelina Jolie, Changeling. Predictable, what what are you gonna do? Angelina is a force of nature.
27.1%: Anne Hathaway, Rachel Getting Married. Seems like Anne Hathaway has been moving up the ladder for many guys’ list of sexy Hollywood actresses in recent years.
27.1% : Kate Winslet, Revolutionary Road. It’s nice to see Kate Winslet get some much overdue recognition in the sexy department.
6.07% : Meryl Streep, Doubt (apparently 6.07% didn’t read the survey correctly). Don’t get me wrong - I think Meryl Streep has had many sexy roles, but her role in Doubt was not one of them.
3.74%: Kristin Scott Thomas, I’ve Loved You So Long. Like Streep, Kristin Scott Thomas can have her sexy moments, but not in this movie.
