The Los Angeles Auto Show recently took place and there were some amazing concept cars on display. These shows are where automakers show off their most advanced ideas, most of which will never actually be produced. But it's sure fun to dream.

Here are the five coolest concept cars from this year's show:

5. Lincoln C Concept

The Lincoln C packs a lot of internal space into a fairly small exterior. Thanks to virtually no trunk space, the passengers have oodles of room, plus a glass roof that makes the car feel even bigger.

4. Scion xB DJ 2.0 Concept

If you are looking for the ultimate party car, this is it. This Scion has a roof that folds out into two huge speakers with 2000 watts of power. The back has a dance floor (for, I guess midgets) with integrated disco lights and a DJ mixing table. Party on!

3. Honda P-NUT Concept

The P-NUT (that stands for "Personal Neo Urban Transport", don't you know), only seats three, but packs in a lot of personal space for a tiny car. The driver sits in front in the middle while the two rear passengers straddle the driver on each side, providing maximum legroom within a small space.

2. Audi e-tron Concept

A next generation R8, the e-tron is an electric car with verve to spare. The car has an electric drive motor at each wheel, giving the vehicle 313 horsepower and an amazing 3,319 lb-ft of torque. This goes from 40 mpg to 75 mph in just 4 seconds - highway driving at its finest. The car even charges wirelessly through induction, so no plugging in needed.

1. BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept

Looking like something out of the movie Tron, the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept car is one badass hybrid. The car is a plug-in that uses electric motors and a three cylinder turbo diesel to zoom from zero to 60 in a mere 4.8 seconds. Yes, that is fast.

It registers a top speed of 155 mph and gets more than 60 miles per gallon, like a good hybrid should. What's perhaps coolest about this concept car is what you can't see from the photos: a 3D heads-up display above the instrument panel. Futuristic and cool looking in a completely over the top way - when can I buy one?
