Does the intricacy of the Madden franchise elude you?  Does your life suck so bad that you still wish you were 11 years old?  If the answer to either question is "yes", then take heed.

Xbox 360 has announced and released Tecmo Bowl Throwback, which gives a (slightly) more modern take on the 1989 classic.  While the side to side scrolling view remains, you have the option to bounce back between at 16-bit version or a version demonstrating a some texture and shadow.  The spirit remains the same in both iterations.

While the ratings haven't been great for this game, I imagine that nostalgia is the driving force behind much of the interest in this game.  So invite a friend to spend the night, ask your parents if you can order a pizza, and grab a controller.
