Does Street Art Get Much Cooler Than This?
Nope. It really doesn't. Ok. It might, but not for fans of Peanuts or The Beatles. Here, the gang is seen recareating the legendary 'Abbey Road' album cover complete with perspective, even though they're only existing in (roughly) two dimensions.
Street art has long existed as a way of turning the spaces around oneself into a canvas, both legally and illegally. Sure, some of the stuff is on private property and is unwanted by the owners, but when you see the works of Banksy and whoever did this, it's impossible to take a stance against this stuff. I mean, I'm getting a bigger kick out of this than I ever did from anything I did from Picasso. Granted, I'm no art snob, but the fact that this is available to all without having to set foot inside a museum is pretty damn cruel.
I wonder if someone can do Calvin and Hobbes like the 'Nevermind' cover.
