Are You Smart Enough to Be an NFL Quarterback?

Of course, athletes aren't known for their brains, so if you don't have a rifle for an arm or can't run the 40 in less than 4.7, you're probably not even gonna make the Bills' shortlist. But when teams are considering who they want to lead their team into battle every Sunday, smarts and logical thinking do play a role.

Enter the Wonderlic test. This test was created to measure job candidates' problem-solving skills and leaerning ability for most any line of work. However, it came into prominence about a decade ago as it was used to weed out college quarterbaks who may have had the arm, but not the brain to run the complex offenses of NFL teams.

So how are you going to do? The average score for a QB is 24, while Ryan Fitzpatrick, a Harvard grad and QB for the Bills, scored a 48 out of a possible 50. Dan Marino and Vince Young bottomed out at a 16 each, with Young getting a 6 on his first attempt. Yikes.
