Does America still love Sarah Palin? Oh, you betcha.
A December 2008 survey of more than 2,000 U.S. adults reveals which pop culture celebrities and politicians Americans think would make the most appealing neighbors, and who isn’t welcome anywhere near the backyard.
Sarah Palin was deemed the most desirable neighbor followed closely by Oprah Winfrey. I guess the women thought Palin was a nice hockey mom and the men thought of Palin as that hot neighbor down the street.
Sarah and Oprah were followed by Michael Phelps, Brad and Angelina, Tina Fey and Anderson Cooper in the desirable neighbor category.
So who do you think was the least desirable celebrity neighbor? Take just one guess. That’s right, our favorite party gal Britney Spears. Hard to believe that the average American wouldn’t want a half-crazy, paparazzi-obsessed washout with kid problems as their neighbor. Following the Britney trainwreck were Rosie O’Donnell, Joe the Plumber and Lindsay Lohan for least desirable neighbor.
Which leads to two final questions. How is Joe the Plumber now considered a celebrity? And which company actually pays for these silly surveys? Oh yeah, that would be online real estate site Zillow.com.
