If you live in London, are ready to try something really different, and have deep pockets, you’ll want to check out Flash Sushi. It’s an underground spot where you eat high-end sushi off of naked models at a whopping price of 250 pounds (a little over $400) a head.
Introduced to the U.K. by duo Nigel Carlos and Nick Hepburn, the “Nyotaimori” experience – translated as “female body presentation” – has been enjoyed by the Japanese elite for generations. The high price tag includes a 10-course sushi dinner eaten off the female body and unlimited alcohol.
The tradition is getting an underground following in the U.S., with celebrities George Clooney and Brad Pitt supposedly taking part in Nyotaimori experiences.
To ensure privacy, the British duo move the dining location around London, from high-end mansions to empty warehouses. When diners arrive at the clandestine spot, they are joined by 12-24 other adventurous souls around a table draped with the naked models.
If you want to get in on the action, you better hurry. Flash Sushi has only one dinner seating per month and will close March 2010.
