Brazilians Killed Three Women, Then Sold Their Meat To The Public In Empanadas

This story is pretty bad, but still doesn't ruin empanadas for me. Those things are delicious!

In Brazil last week, three people were arrested after they were have found to not only killed three women, but ground their bodies up and put them in empanadas for sale to the general public. This is the kind of stuff Brazil is known for, so it shouldn't be too shocking, but it would be a little troubling to read this in The Sao Paolo Times or whatever, then have to do inventory of when and where you last ate empanadas.

The three murderers were part of a sect that required not only murder, but cannibalism, which means that they ate the bodies, too. Then they not only got the public to help with the disposal, but also paying for the privilege. These guys should be on 'The Apprentice'.

It was probably difficult to get proof of which empanadas had people in them, because I doubt they were being sold from a McDonald's-like operation, but I could just see some businessman or schoolteacher looking back to Monday when he or she had those AMAZING empanadas from that vendor on the other side of town, then be kept up at night wondering if they really delighted in eating people.

Now that some folks have a taste for human meat, expect cannibalism to run wild in Brazil. If it hasn't already. That place is crazy.
