Are you a little jittery about the financial markets? Feeling the need to stuff all your money under your mattress? Now one company is making it a little easier to do just that by introducing the “safe bed.”
Instead of stuffing your cash under your mattress, you can actually store it safely in your mattress. Feather & Black, a UK mattress manufacturer, is now marketing a new bed with a built-in safe for all your valuables.
The small safe, concealed in the base of the bed, has a sturdy lock and is big enough to store a stack of cash, or all that worthless Citibank stock you bought last year. While the “safe bed” started as a tongue-in-cheek idea, Feather & Black says that there is real demand for it.
The only problem with storing your dollars in the “safe bed”? You’ll have to part with about 1,300 of them to buy one.
