Apparently, Walt Disney does not have a sense of humor. Last week, the entertainment giant cracked down on an Australian brewery that had been promoting its latest ale with an ad of ‘Ho White and the Seven Dwarfs’.

The ad depicts a racy Snow White in bed blowing smoke rings with seven very happy looking half-naked dwarfs. Instead of Sleepy, Happy and Doc, the dwarfs are now Filthy, Smarmy and Randy.

What does this have to do with beer? Well, the advertisement was for Jamieson’s Raspberry Ale and the tag line is “anything but sweet.” Get it? Heh.

Thanks to Disney’s legal department, the ad and its associated website did not last long. An ad agency called The Foundry, which created the ad, has apparently taken down the campaign’s official website at anythingbutsweet.com.

It just goes to show: you never, ever mess with the dwarfs.
