Do People Still Use Phone Sex Hotlines?
During the holidays, everyone feels a little more strapped for cash than they would otherwise. Fortunately, people are also spending more, so more jobs are available this time of year. But for stay-at-home moms, the options are limited. And it is from those limited options that some morally upstanding women decide to become stay-at-home moms/phone sex operators. Don't se that description on too many Facebook profiles.
I mean, aside from the fact that your kids may one day find out that you earned some extra cash talking dirty to dudes jerking off on the other end of the line, what's the harm? It's completely safe, sleazy, but not dangerous, and talented (whatever that means) operators can earn a couple hundred bucks a day chatting from their houses.
The only thing that surprises me about this story is the fact that their is actually demand for phone sex as we knock on the door of 2012. Really? Are the people who drop $2.99 per minute unaware of the Internet? And how there's filthy pornography lurking around every corner? I haven't taken a straw poll or anything, but considering that the industry still pockets a cool $1 billion in revenue, SOMEONE'S getting paid out there.
It's probably some hot n' horny housewife.
