Getting Drunk At Work Could Boost Productivity

Well, not falling-down, blackout shitfaced, but a study has shown that knocking back a drink or two while at work can provide a creative spark that perhaps you can't get sober.

Of course, I wouldn't expect most companies to re-adopt the three-martini lunches, but the list of employers that are serving liquor in the office continues to grow in the hopes that it will spark some outside-of-the-box thinking from employees who may be stuck in a rut when sober.

The practice isn't without its caveats, as offices are both formally and informally monitoring who's making the most frequent trips to the keg or beer cooler, so don't expect Mad Men redux any time in the near future. If your office is blessed with such a relaxed atitude, you might want to keep yourself in check, as an abuse of this perk could very easily become a reason for getting fired.
