What’s the latest trend in men’s fashion over in London? Leggings for guys, jokingly referred to as “mantyhose.” The fashion brand Unconditional recently launched a whole clothing line that revels in androgyny.
Unconditional’s designer Philip Stephens says his mens leggings can be worn as a statement or under clothes to provide warmth. Stephens likens the mantyhose to mosh pits and the Seattle grunge scene.
While it’s true Kurt Cobain used to wear leggings under a nightie, something tells me he wouldn’t have done so if they were called mantyhose.

Men’s legwear is a growing trend that’s starting to break out into the mainstream. The British press didn’t do it any favors by taking a mocking tone and dressing one of their own up in silly looking outfits. In reality, ‘mantyhose’ as its been tagged has been found by many men to have legit, practical benefits. I work for ActivSkin, who sells sheer and opaque tights made for men (www.activskin.com). Mantyhose call it what you like men have been wearing tights for years I’m in the police force and most of us Men on the beat in the winter wear tights .If a man choose to wear tights under his trousers or with a skirt what’s it got to do with anybody but him FASHION FREEDOM FOR MEN IS COMING
