There’s a new service called Spinvox Blast to help you Santas manage the last-minute gift scramble.
It works like this: You call a special SpinVox number. You speak your wish list. The list is then automatically converted to text and delivered to your peeps via email, SMS text and even specially created blogs that serve as private gift-giving bulletin boards.
The beauty – or horror – of the thing is how easy it is to add those last-minute gift ideas so someone can call dibbs. Let?s say you?re at the mall with your lady or your kid. They point to a gift and say, ?Me want.? Rather than hunt for paper and pen or texting/emailing from your cell phone (while bumping into other shoppers along the way), you can simply hit SpinVox on your speed dial, say ?Little Jimmy wants The Force Unleashed,? and everybody on your distribution list gets the ever-so-subtle hint.
In addition to converting voicemails into text and sending them to you via email or text, there is a Memo feature that lets you send yourself an action item without having to put your bags down. Then, when you get home, you can forward, copy or print your tasks to make holiday to-dos much more doable.
Just think of how many more people you can get stuff from this holiday season! And isn’t getting more stuff really what the spirit of Christmas is all about?
