Wow you guys have a lot of good comments. I guess every avenue cant be covered seeing how women aren’t 100% predictable. I do have a few suggestions.

1. If you are just picking up a girl DO NOT buy her drinks or anything else for that matter. A real alpha male can get girls to buy them drinks. Besides boring and typical are the two most devastating words in a womans dictionary. If she is (in real life) a 9 or 10 then she gets drooling guys all the time buying drinks; try being the exception.

2. Guys ask me then what can I do on a first date where I am not blowing a ton of money on her till I know I like her. Easy, romance is free. Wanna be that one exception? Do what other guys don’t do. Take her to a picnic. Go for a walk and feed some geese, ducks or street bums for those of you in the city. Go for a bike ride (10 speed or motorcycle). Do an activity… it breaks the ice and your seen as an active guy and not a lazy couch potato, hell go ice skating the more of a jackass you look like the more she will laugh and thats good as long as your ego doesn’t get hurt then she will make you her puppy.

3. Do not take a girl to dinner the first or second date for that matter. In my book dinner is reserved for a girl I am in a relationship with. First off its boring and just a show of “look at me I can take you to a fancy restaurant and watch you eat” man thats creepy. If I wanted to watch a girl eat for an hour I would ah never mind thats too easy. Look, there are a million other things to do that are more interesting and more fun. Be her adventure guide for the city/town you live in. If you cant come up with fun things to do other than dinner and a movie then I would say stop dating because your just doing the name of man more harm than good.

Moral of the story… be interesting, keep the wallet in the pocket till you get to know her, don’t put up with her crap even if it means stopping the date in the middle of it to take her home, and in the words of Andrew Dice Clay.. act like you care even though your thinking of cutting the date short to drink with your buddy lol.

Yeah, I use to date this girl and like 80% of the conversation would be what her ex did… I was being nice so I didn’t cut her… but I didn’t care what you do with your ex. I think the theatre is the best place to grope each other. Because it’s dark and no one can see. It’s a great pre-sexual activity. Just putting the idea out there because i know some girls love the naught-iness in public or the thrill.
Worse thing: Disagreeing on a sensitive topic and having a bad outcome. or when you don’t introduce friends to each other.

BTW, do you think girls like the attention? like flirting and always being hung out with? you think guys should sometimes back off a bit and not always be in her face.

I like your points. There is nothing worse than a guy who lets a girl walk all over him. It is important for you to show a girl that you have thoughts and opinions. I recently went out with a guy and he didn’t seem to know what he wanted to do on the date, so I said “We could go to my favorite Japanese restaurant, would that be okay?” He said yes, but when we got there he didn’t order anything because HE HATES JAPANESE FOOD. It made me feel like he was not only a wuss, but that he was creepy too. There was this whole “I want to watch you eat” kind of vibe…Eugh!!
Needless to say, we didn’t go out again.

Great stuff Christian, couldn’t agree more.

Although there are variations of “sin #3″… In some cultures, it’s looked upon as very weak for the man NOT to be “Over protective”.

This is mostly in Africa, South America and some parts of Asia though… so it shouldn’t be a problem

In terms of Sin #2 I’ve found that some women like a playful ass grab in public. It makes them feel like they are yours(in a sexy way). Now this is not a first date thing obviously but if you’ve started seeing her I believe sometimes it’s good to go for an ass grab.

Yea Sin #3 “Being too over-protective and jealous” is completely F-ing wrong. I’ve made friends with her coworkers/friends, we all hung out and got along fine for a while. Then I found out that she cheated on me with one of these guys I thought I was cool with. So I was trustworthy of her until she ruined it.

Well, you got a very good blog. Ok, I got some points too, like, trying to make comparisons with the ex. Takingo your date to the same old places you used to hang out with the ex, and letting her know. For example: I used to come here a lot with (ex) and god, hose were good times.
Agreeing with her in everything just to keep her happy, well, youve already said that. Sometimes, when the date comes up really good, the way you kiss her can be decieving. Mhh, what else, bad breath, bad higiene. Talking about past relationships in a bad manner, you dont do that as a gentleman, you always have to point the good stuff, because maybe she will think that you will talk about her in the same way if the relation fails.
